Yes I am finally blogging.
Why am I finally blogging? Well I have some stuff to say that I can't express instantly in my books and comics. I just need to get it out of my brain. Hopefully it will be soothing and make me feel better.
The first thing on my mind is the election. Apparently the republicans feel "the more things remain the same the more they change." Listening to them talk I kept thinking to myself, "Don't these people know they've been in charge for the last 8 years?" Plus I couldn't help but to smile (it was a sad smile) when they scolded Russia for "invading another country over oil". (I paraphrase but you get the message and hopefully see how ironic it is.)
I'm also not sure how you can be pro life and pro guns but I freely admit I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed.
I also find it amazing how both sides complain about the others side lack of qualifications or whatever but heap praise. Ask a republican spokesman and Sarah Palin is way qualified to run the country in fact she may very well be over qualified; yet Obama is barely qualified to run for dog catcher. (Of course 18 million people voted for Obama and only 1 picked Palin.) Ask a democrat and McCain is one of the old establishment that needs to be voted out, yet Biden has the experience to run the country if he needed too. Running for office in this country has become an exercise in "resume fluffing" and only seeing your side of the argument, which is sad.
I just know the election is going to be close and it's important to vote especially if you are in one of those four or five swing states that could carry the election. Man, we need to go to popular vote.
Now if the dems win will Palin just become the answer to a trivia question or will she become lead ticket contender? I guess that depends on if Obama has a Carter-like or Clinton-like stay.
Thanks for reading,
